The Potter’s House offers a discerning blend of high church and low, tradition and innovation, sincere worship and healthy skepticism. Affiliated with The United Church of Christ, The Potter’s House is committed to the rich and diverse theology and worship of the Christian Church worldwide, both in the present and in the historic past. Drawing upon the most creative and beautiful elements of Christian worship – from a variety of streams and traditions (Catholic, Methodist, Episcopalian, Orthodox, Congregational, Baptist, etc.) – our worship gatherings seek to inspire and teach, heal and challenge, encourage and connect. Our community is a place where questions are invited and encouraged. You’ll never be handed some ‘official’ checklist of orthodox beliefs because we believe that doubt and ambiguity are partners to authentic faith. Of course, you may occasionally be invited to suspend your intellect, but you will never be required to sacrifice it.
